Aloo Capsicum recipe:
The Aloo Capsicum recipe, is a delicious and simple no more masalas just tasty and healthy. You can serve it in lunch and dinner as well with Amul Butter Chapattis.
Aloo Capsicum recipe is a simple sabzi to make and is a delicious vegetable that is cooked along with the simple kitchen ingredients that will be available in your kitchen any time. Simple adding of other vegetables make it tastier like Potato, onion, ginger-garlic and some simple Indian species.
|4 medium Potatoes, boiled, peeled and cubed|
|4 medium Capsicums|
|11/2 medium Onions, chopped|
|1 medium Tomato, properly chopped|
|1 teaspoon Ginger, grated|
|5-6 cloves Garlic|
|1/2 teaspoon Dry Coriander Seeds|
|1/2 teaspoon Cumin Seeds|
|1 teaspoon Garam Masala Powder|
|1/2 teaspoon Red Chilli Powder (lal mirch)|
|1 teaspoon Turmeric Powder (haldi)|
|3 tablespoons Cooking Oil|
|1/2 cup Water|
|Salt to taste|
How to make capsicum recipe
Wash the green chilies thoroughly and chop finely. Rinse the ginger well, peel and slice down thinly. Now rinse the capsicums and potatoes as well. Peel the potatoes and chop each potato in 8 chunks.
Heat 4 tbsp. oil in a pan and splutter cumin seeds first. Then add asafoetida, turmeric powder, coriander powder and finely chopped green chilly. Sauté the spices for a while. Add the potatoes to wok and stir well. Cover and let the potatoes cook through for 8 minutes on low flame. Meanwhile remove the seeds from the capsicum and remove the stalk as well. Chop the capsicum into medium size.
Check and stir the potatoes. If needed, add 2 to 4 tbsp. water. Then Cover again and let them cook for 3 to 5 more minutes. Now add capsicum, salt, red chilly powder and finely chopped ginger to the wok. Mix everything really well. Cover again and cook for 5 to 6 minutes. Stir and check the Capsicum recipe at regular intervals.
Finely chopped the green coriander and tomatoes as well put in separate bowl. When the potatoes looked cooked, add chopped tomatoes and some green coriander to it. Mix properly.
Cover the wok again and let the recipe simmer on low flame for 3 to 4 minutes.
Sabzi is ready,off the flame. Put the sabzi to a serving bowl and garnish with some coriander sprigs finely chopped . Serve the delectable aloo shimla mirch with steaming hot Butter Roti naan and enjoy the dish.
