well as I mentioned previously, raita recipes are the most underrated recipe from the indian cuisine. it is one such recipe which makes every meal or feast complete you can take it in you daily routine meal, yet it does not get the required consideration and appreciation. as matter of fact, even in my blog i have posted very limited raita recipes and i always get side tracked. moreover whenever i start prioritising the requested recipes from my readers, i typically find very less request with raita. I believe most of them believe that making a raita recipe is no rocket science but ignore some small details in it. hence i thought to share this recipe of with you guys.
Ingredients for Boondi Raita Recipe
|Yogurt||1 large cup|
|Roasted cumin powder||1/2 teaspoon|
|Fresh coriander leaves||2 tablespoons|
|Red chilli powder||1/2 teaspoon|
|Finely chopped tamato||half piece|
How to make boondi raita
- Add tomato, salt, chaat masala, chili powder and dried mint leaves to yogurt and whisk the yogurt till it smooth and creamy.
- If using plain boondi, soak it in warm water for about 5 minutes and then squeeze them gently to remove the water.
- Add the squeezed boondi to the yogurt mixture. Mix well.
- Refrigerate for an hour. Serve chilled.
